A QUICK GLANCE AT JOHOR
Johor is a state located at the southern region of Peninsular Malaysia, occupying an area 19,016 km2, and populated by 3.497 million people. Johor is known as one of the most developed states in Malaysia with Johor Bahru as its capital city. It has a tropical rainforest climate with monsoon rain from November until February blowing from the South China Sea.
Two roads that connect Johor to Singapore are the Johor-Singapore Causeway and the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link. At Causeway, there is also a railway line, which is now part of the main rail route connecting Singapore with Thailand via Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh and Butterworth.

Johor’s vast landscape is characterised by plantations of pineapple, rubber, coconut and oil palm on the fringes of which also nestle tranquil villages and quaint fishing villages. Retaining much of its natural splendours, the state has miles of golden sandy beaches and beautiful offshore islands with clear waters which are excellent for diving. It is also endowed with several forest reserves. Nature lovers will find a visit to the Endau-Rompin National Park an unforgettable experience. Johor also boasts some of the best golf courses in the country.

For golf enthusiasts, some of the must-visit golf courses in Johor include the Tanjong Puteri Golf Resort comprising three 18-hole Championship Golf Courses and the Austin Hills Golf Resort (located about 15 km from the Johor checkpoint and close to Johor City). Another jewel among Johor golf courses is the Horizon Hills Golf & Country Club with a 1,200 hectares land, located in the heart of Nusajaya where the 6,271 meter par-72 championship layout was designed by world famous architect Ross Watson.
